Many alumni are willing to serve as mentors for current students. They can offer valuable insights into the industry, provide career advice, and help students navigate the transition from academia to the professional world. Alumni who have excelled in their careers may be invited to conduct guest lectures, workshops, or seminars. This provides students with real-world perspectives and insights into the practical applications of communication theories.
Alumni often have extensive professional networks. They may facilitate networking events, career fairs, or internship opportunities, connecting current students with professionals in the field. And of course the Alumni can act as ambassadors for the department, promoting its achievements and advocating for its importance. This can help raise the profile of the department and attract prospective students and faculty.
