BANDUNG.15/01/2024. The Communication Science Department will again carry out Table Manner activities on January 15, 2024, at the Harris Hotel & Convention Center Ciumbuleuit. This activity was attended by 258 students and students of the Communication Science Study Program.

This table manners activity has become a routine program every year of the Communication Science Department to increase participants’ knowledge and experience about how to behave when they are at the dining table. This time, for the Table Manner event, the Communication Science Department collaborated with the Harris & Convention Center Ciumbuleuit hotel, which was opened by Marcomm from the Harris Hotel Rezy Lazuardi as MC.

The event continued with a presentation of table manners material from Romualdo Panjaitan by explaining the cutlery that must be available at the dining table as well as the use of each cutlery, such as spoons, forks, and knives. The presentation of this material became even more interesting when appetizers began to be distributed at each participant’s table, which of course had a manner when they wanted to eat the dishes that were available.

An interesting thing happened when the main course was served, namely Grilled Sirloin Beef with Cream Black Pepper Sauce. The chef team from Harris Hotel also started giving good tutorials on eating steak because not all participants understood how to cut and eat steak according to the applicable manners.

This Table Manner event was also attended by lecturers from the Communication Science Department and the Dean of FISIP UNIKOM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lilis Puspitawati, SE., M.Si., AK., CA., CPR., CSRS, who hopes that the Table Manner activity will become a routine work program that can add value and ethics in communication for the participants, especially students of the Communication Science Department.
