BANDUNG.18/12/2023. On December 16, 2023, the Communication Science Department carried out the socialization of the student activity assessment system, which was attended by Communication Science students from semesters 1, 3, and 5 along with their guardian lecturers, also featuring the Director of Student Affairs Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Sc. ., Ph.D., and Head of the SIM Academic, Student Affairs, PJJ & IT Education Division Eko Budi Setiawan, S.Kom., M.T., as resource persons in this socialization activity.

System This assessment of student activities was initiated by Andrias Darmayadi, S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D., as Director of Student Affairs at the Indonesian Computer University, who wanted to give appreciation in the form of grades to students who had activities outside of lectures. The activities that students participate in outside of academic activities in class include organizational activities, attending national and international seminars, and being involved in non-profit activities such as volunteering or being involved in committees. It is hoped that this will encourage students to be more active in useful activities and support the academic value of their participation.

The expectations of the Director of Student Affairs are in line with those of the Head of the Communication Science Study Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melly Maulin P, S.Sos., M.Si, that this activity assessment makes students more active in utilizing their lecture time with something that can increase their knowledge and experience in activities outside of class. One of them is holding socialization activities to provide understanding to students when completing the activities they have participated in. The system filling was explained by the second resource person, namely Mr. Eko Budi Setiawan, S.Kom., M.T., from IT Education at UNIKOM.

With this socialization activity, students are expected to be able to immediately complete the activities they have participated in from semester 1 and apply to students from the class of 2021 with terms and conditions that must be met, and data verification will be carried out by a verifier from the Directorate of Student Affairs.
