Bandung. Aug 24 — Students from the Communication Science Department at Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM) actively participated in Character Building 2026 under the central theme “Empowering Future Leaders through Character and Collaboration.” Held at the military education center of DODIK RINDAM III Siliwangi in Cikole on August 6-7, the immersive training program was organized through a strategic collaboration between UNIKOM’s Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) and the Faculty of Humanities.
Bringing together 289 student participants from both faculties, the initiative sought to transform theoretical knowledge into real-world leadership, mental resilience, and civic responsibility.
A Rigorous Environment for Collaborative Growth
The selection of DODIK RINDAM III Siliwangi Cikole as the venue provided a structured setting away from conventional lecture halls. Surrounded by the demanding atmosphere of a military training facility, the participants engaged in experiential learning exercises designed to break down academic silos and foster deep cross-disciplinary collaboration between FISIP and Faculty of Humanities students.
Throughout the program, participants tackled team-based obstacles, leadership simulations, and interactive workshops. These activities challenged students to step beyond their comfort zones, build trust across faculties, and practice clear, adaptive communication under pressure.
